Brief History of Kappa Alpha Psi in Jackson

Since 1941, the Jackson Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated has created a history of brotherhood and unity among dedicated members., Through the chapter’s leadership, a legacy has been established that will lead us from this point and beyond.. It is our history that shapes this chapter., Every New Year, every administration is an additional piece of the puzzle placed together to bridge brotherhood and unity.

Our organization will continue maintaining a legacy of Excellence for the next millennium through the tenacity of our Brotherhood and Guide Right Programs.. We must be a visible, a viable and a vital resource in the City of Jackson and the State of Mississippi. We must seek changes in the political and socioeconomic arenas so that our children will be aIIowed to live in a wholesome environment, our children will be afforded the same educational opportunities, and our children will be achievers well equipped to enter and compete in this new technological society. The Kappa Torch is carried which will pass on the DREAM.

This history tells us where we have come from and maps the path of where we are going – this is our guide.. As we continue to make history, this document will serve as a tool to document our path.
